We supply all floating shelves with pre-drilled holes and floating shelf brackets, suitable for fitting into solid masonry walls or timber studs.

Description

Our 40mm thick modern floating shelves are constructed from high quality kiln-dried oak and hand-sanded for a perfectly finished modern style. All arrive with pre-drilled holes and concealed shelf supports. For shelves 170mm and wider we may choose to construct from two pieces to increase stability and achieve wider width shelves. We offer customisable sizes with the 'Trim to size' option and offer a variety of high-quality wax oils to select from for the finish.

Delivery details

We aim to fulfil all shelving orders as quickly as possible. We machine all shelving to order, and offer a standard dispatch and priority dispatch.

Substantial & stylish

Finished to a substantial 40mm (4cm) thickness and 125mm to 195mm width, this oak floating shelf is available in several lengths and offers fantastic value for money. No matter where you're planning on fitting your floating shelves, this thick, solid style won't disappoint, especially when finished in our range of wood wax oils.

Need this shelf cutting to size? No problem, our free 'Trim to size' option allows you to provide precise dimensions and we will machine and hand finish your oak shelf to the size you need.

Expertly machined and sanded to a finished 40mm thickness. Can be optionally custom sized with this modern style also available in thinner and thicker sizes.

Choose from a wide selection of shelf lengths including our short 300mm variation to our long 2400mm option and anywhere in-between. Need a size that’s not available by using our free ‘Trim to size’ field? Get in touch as we can often cater to most custom sizes.

Thick oak floating shelf

Firstly, thank you. The shelf arrived as ordered and was very well packaged. Not fitted as yet as part of a whole room make over. But would definitely recommend and order again.

Good shelves - needed longer fixings

Very happy with the unfinished shelves, after three coats of Osmo and lots of sanding. The fixings were not suitable for our walls, as we have 50mm deep insulation between the battened wall and the outer block. Timber Shelves were very helpful advising on alternatives - with this advice we bought 12mm stud iron to create our own fixings.

Buying unfinished shelves are a great way to get the exact finish you like and we sand them ready, but the 'de-nibbing' or sanding between coats can be painstaking if doing by hand! I hope you get many years of good use from them, and you know where we are should you ever need anything else :)

Perfect Shelf and excellent value.

The Shelf was excellent quality and was trimmed to the size requested and coated. Perfect fit and colour match to an existing oak mirror. The price was a lot cheaper than it should have been given its solid wood. Saved and will use again as and when I need a decent quality shelf.
